Govfest – call for partners

Dear Prospective Govfest Partner,

We would like to present this opportunity for your company to partner with us in the upcoming 8th Annual Govfest Battle of the Bands charity event. Govfest is organized by Ontario Public Servants and is a celebration of arts, music and public service partnerships. The 2014 events will be held from November 18, 19 and 20, 2014, at a number of well-known venues in downtown Toronto.  A Govfest Closing event will be held on November 26th that will feature the winning bands and other celebrity speakers.

For the last several years, volunteers from the Ontario Public Service (OPS) have organized musical arts performances to raise money for the Ryan’s Well Foundation and the United Way charities. Over the years, proceeds from Govfest have supported hundreds of families in communities around the world.

Playing for the “Judges’ Choice” and the “People’s Choice” awards, the events have had up to 1000 in attendance each year.  Over the years more than $80,000 has been raised which was equally split among the two charities.  The Govfest event involves more than 80 volunteers and more than 100 musicians!  All proceeds from ticket sales and corporate sponsorship support the charities. The shows just keep getting bigger and better each year.

In addition to enjoying a variety of great music and dancing, we would like to invite you to participate by corporately sponsoring the event through a financial contribution and introducing one of the bands to the stage. Corporate sponsors are promoted on the event website and posters. In addition, sponsors’ posters and/or banners will be prominently displayed at the event.  Sponsors can contribute by:

  • Bronze $500 – bronze partner get 5 tickets; small logo on website, program, materials, poster
  • Silver $1000 – silver partner get 10 battle tickets; medium sized logo on all posters, website; band introductions
  • Gold $2000 – gold participants get 10 battle tickets and 10 gala tickets; large logo on all posters and website; reserved seating; dedicated stage name on program; award and speaker introductions.
