Govfest 2026 Band Signup Sheet

Hi! Welcome to Govfest Band signup sheet!

The Govfest Battle of the Bands is an event for current and former federal, provincial, and municipal civil servants in Ontario to let their hair down, make amazing music, have a great time, and raise money for charity. Govfest started in 2007 with a scrappy group of musicians at a single charity show at the Hard Rock Cafe, and by 2025 grew to over 100 musicians over 8 nights and 6 venues. This is our 20th big year and we’re looking forward to it!

Eligibility to perform is open to any group where *at least one member* is a current or former public servant at the municipal, provincial, or federal level, including broader public agencies.  If you have any questions about how the event works, you can see the info page on our website at https://www.govfest.ca/battle-of-the-bands/info-for-bands, and if that doesn't help just ask Darren at contact@govfest.ca!

To participate in the event, we ask for your cooperation for two things.

First: Please fill out the first part of form below by Monday September 14 if possible (the earlier the better please). 

Note there are three pages to fill out. 

1. Band Promotional Information (including a band photo if possible)
2. Band Members and Equipment Needed
3. Venue Preference

Second: When you submit this form the Govfest organizer will send you an email through Canada Helps, containing a link you can use to register your band as "a fundraising team" on our Canada Helps Battle of the Bands fundraising page.  (The steps should be pretty easy to follow, please contact Darren at contact@govfest.ca if there are any questions). 

Note there is no fundraising minimum but once your fundraising page is up you are encouraged to ask co-workers, family, and friends to sponsor your band!  All donors will receive an official charitable donation tax receipt (which can be used to claim a tax credit).
